Mariusz is the visionary Founder and Managing Director of Runwiz and CareService24, leveraging his extensive experience in the home care industry to drive innovation and tackle key sector challenges. His work at CareService24 revealed significant operational inefficiencies within the sector and limitations in the technology aimed at the industry—issues that nearly jeopardized his care business. These insights led to the creation of Runwiz, a platform that embodies his belief that care provision can always be improved. He remains true to his motto: “From chaos to control.”

With a Master of Science degree in Anthropology, Mariusz brings a deep understanding of social sciences and human behaviour to his work. His commitment to leadership excellence in care is further demonstrated by his HABC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

Outside of work, Mariusz finds tranquillity in attending heavy metal gigs, mountain biking across the hills of Dorset, and mastering street photography. A passionate music lover, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for heavy music with his daughter through daily “lectures” on Rock Appreciation and Theory.

Damian, Co-founder of Runwiz and CareService24, is a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and software development. Known for his ability to create advanced IT solutions based on observations of the daily challenges faced by care teams, Damian excels at leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business growth and success. His favourite word is “Optimization.”

When he co-founded CareService24 in 2010, Damian could not have predicted that he would later challenge the status quo in the sector. In response to scepticism from peers who believed the sector was unchangeable, he created Runwiz to revolutionize care delivery. His notable achievement with Runwiz is integrating logistics planning into care provision, which plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and reliable care services.

Outside of work, Damian is a car enthusiast with a particular fondness for Italian vehicles, making the Simply Italian Car Show at Beaulieu a highlight of his calendar. (If your time is precious, avoid starting a conversation about Maseratis with him!) He also enjoys restoring his ever-changing vintage hi-fi setup while listening to Tracy Chapman on vinyl—of course.

Alex is a key player in developing and implementing recruitment and HR features at Runwiz. With a passion for enhancing care standards through strategic talent selection and mentoring, she believes that recruitment in the home care sector can be streamlined and efficient rather than a resource-draining, ongoing effort.

Starting her career in the care industry in 2005 as a care assistant, Alex quickly advanced to the role of Care Team Manager at one of Dorset’s largest residential care providers, where she gained invaluable industry experience. She then transitioned to CareService24, where, for over a decade, she has overseen the recruitment and onboarding processes while ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and employment laws.

Alex holds a Master of Science in Social Work, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, and multiple Train the Trainer certifications, underscoring her commitment to professional development and excellence in care.

Outside of work, Alex can often be found “going ape” at Moors Valley. She loves re-watching her favourite classic sci-fi movies, playing chess and… baking bread— something she says brings back fond childhood memories.
